Here is the deal. These "other" teams are just out to lunch compared to the Hendrick/Roush/Childress and Gibbs organizations. It doesn't matter who is wheeling the car, they just don't have the resources or engineering support to make everything click. The gap between the haves and the have nots is always increasing. I also tend to think that there is nothing wrong with Mayfield as a driver. There is tons of driving talent out there on the tour , but without the right set up, they are not going to excel.
