car and driver magazine june 2008 page 130 rick hendrick on geoff bodine "what made geoff so good was that he was a driver and a chassis guy, kind of alan kulwicki type.had he (geoff)come along when we'd finally learned how to run 500 miles on a motor - i was from a drag racing background, and so was randy (dorton, his chief engine builder),and we were always pushing the envelope. geoff led more races than anybody else and broke down a lot with 100 laps to go, until we learned that you have to be there at the end. in his day he (geoff bodine) earnhardt and tim richmond were as good as it got." much more in the magazine a must read for any nascar fan.
