Yeah, in perfect 20/20 hindsight, I wonder if Geoff new multicar things were the way of the future if he would have stayed with Hendrick (he actually said on tv once in 1998 that the 7 team needed to get a 2nd team car b/c you had to be a multcar team now). We know loyalty was a big thing with Hendrick so I think if Geoff had not left at the end of 1989, he might not have ever left until he retired. I think if Geoff was driving the 5 Tide Car instead of Ricky Rudd, he might have won a championship.
